Guess the Dish
A new mystery dish every day. Reason from the ingredients, cooking method and flavour to name its country of origin — being on the right continent still scores.
How it works
- Look at the photo of today’s mystery dish.
- Stuck? Unlock clues — main ingredients, cooking method, flavour and when it’s eaten — each costs a few points.
- Type the country you think it’s from. Getting the right region or continent still earns partial points.
- You have 6 guesses. Solve it, then share your result.
A food game that rewards knowing food
Most “guess the country” games are really geography quizzes. Tastedle is built for people who know food: fish sauce and lemongrass point to Southeast Asia; saffron and a wide pan say Spain. The clues let you reason your way to the answer instead of just recognising a map.
Frequently asked questions
Is Tastedle free?
Yes — completely free, no account or app required. Your stats and streak are saved on your device.
How is my score calculated?
Each dish starts at 5,000 points. Unlocking clues costs points. You earn the full remaining score for the correct country, half for the right sub-region, and a fifth for the right continent.
Is there an unlimited mode?
Yes — Unlimited gives you a fresh random dish every round, so you can keep playing as long as you like.
Where do the dishes and photos come from?
