How to Play
Everything about clues, guesses and scoring — in under a minute.
The goal
You’re shown a photo of a mystery dish. Your job is to guess the country it comes from in 6 guesses or fewer.
Clues
The photo is free. If you’re unsure, unlock up to four structured clues, each costing points:
- Main ingredients (−300)
- Cooking method (−300)
- Flavour & style (−300)
- When it’s eaten (−200)
The fewer clues you need, the higher your score.
Scoring
Each dish starts at 5,000 points, minus any clues you unlock. When the round ends you keep a share of that based on your best guess:
- Exact country — 100%
- Same sub-region (e.g. a neighbour) — 50%
- Right continent — 20%
- Wrong continent — 0%
So a near-miss still pays off, and a wrong guess is never a dead end.
Hints
After your first wrong guess we reveal the dish’s continent; after the second, its sub-region. You’ll always have a way forward.
